Luna Game 5 (Creepypasta)
Recently, I received a very mysterious email from an address of random characters containing a download link for an application called Luna Game 5. I made sure the executable went through a rigorous bout of virus scanning, and after a minute or two of pondering whether or not this is a good idea, I ran the game. Although this is by a different author, it emulates the notorious Luna Game style well, and, after reviewing the source code, I can assure you there is nothing malicious or virus-like about this program, but it sure is creepy.
Spoilers Ahead: If you want to be surprised by this game, download and play it first.
The game starts out like any Luna Game, with you in control of Luna and a bit of text telling you to hit shift to sprint. Everything starts out bright and cheerful, with some Eurobeat playing. The music used here is Call Upon the Sea Ponies by Eurobeat Brony. After running around for a while, you run into Angel bunny. Once you get up close to him, a Metal Gear Solid style exclamation point and sound plays, and he runs off.
At this point, you move to the next room over. It is now nighttime, and the music changes to another, fairly cheerful, but slower song - Luna's Anthem by Michael A. Here, you have to jump around the platforms and collect 8 rabbits throughout the level. In getting these rabbits, you will come across a pit which is covered from the top so you can't fall into it. Once you collect the seventh Angel bunny, this pit will be open. You make your way over to the pit, and jump in.
Once down the pit, you run into another rabbit, this time colored red instead of white. Now here is where the creepy starts. Once you collect this eighth and final rabbit, you get transported to another room, now with a dark red sky and shadows of ponies roaming about.
As you start to walk, static will flicker as creepy music plays. This background static may contain shadowy zalgoed images, but they happen very fast, so you can't get a good look at them. Some of the shadows will say delirious, foreboding things as you walk past them. You walk further and further into this creepy landscape, past numerous shadows.
Pretty soon, the sound will begin to shift from creepy music to sounds which appear animal in nature. They can be best described by me as rabid eating noises. Once you reach a certain point, you lose control of your camera. It pauses, and then slowly shifts over to the right, giving the impression something is about to happen. Once the camera stops, you are confronted with a hyper-realistic Pinkamena screamer. At this point, the game closes.
There is no official playthrough video as of now, but I will post it as soon as I receive it. But for now, the only way to experience this game is to play it yourself. And if you think this is all Luna Game 5 has to offer, it's not. The author has snuck a few secrets into the game, including a supposedly very creepy cutscene that is hard to access. This game has a lot still to find, so go forth and find it! You can play this game as many times as needed. And if anyone can identify the music used in the second half of the game, that would be much appreciated as well.
Have a good night, everyone.
