Adventure Ponies Ported To Atari 8-Bit Computers!
Somehow, this seems to have slipped under pretty much everyone's collective radars and that honestly completely baffles me. We're absolutely fixing that right this instant, though.
To say this is a bit of a surprise is absolutely an understatement! We've got ourselves a genuine port of the official, old-timey Hubworld pony game Adventure Ponies to Atari 8-bit computer line coming to us courtesy of the developer Gibstov. It's super satisfying to see these 8-bit styled games actually working on the appropriate hardware!
All the relevant information, including screenshots and a video of the port in action, can be found at the game's thread at AtariAge. We've also provided these below the break as per usual if you're not interested in poking through the thread! You can also play both the original game and Adventure Ponies 2 on the arcade if you're looking to play the original games, just a heads up!

Cynifree - Blank Slate
While it seems like pony game-related tracks are relatively few and far between nowadays, on the occasion they do show up it's always a good time! While the connection isn't overt, in the description of the video Cynifree describes the atmosphere of the track having been based around the classic pony horror game Story of the Blanks. While I'm no music writer by literally any stretch of the imagination, I can definitely say the inspiration definitely shines through and it's just generally a super dope track. Give it a listen via the embed above, and while we're at it, check out the album it was made for and give the rest of those musicians some love!

Silent Falleym 2: Bloodied Sign Released!
Looks like there's yet another entry in the ongoing, Silent Hill-inspired 3D survival psychological and nightmare horror series Silent Falleym, fresh from their very prolific developers!
This time, they've released a remake of one their earlier titles, Silent Falleym 2, so if you've played that game or any others from these folks before I suppose you'll know what to expect! From the description on their website:
Escaping from monsters that flooded the whole city Daisy Wallace hid in some building. On one of the boards, it is written that this is hospital Harbrake. Inside there are the dirt and blood everywhere, and soon Daisy will understand inside is no less dangerous than outside.
Silent Falleym is pony adaptation of classical Silent Hill series. It has as classical things and in same time new ones. Silent Falleym has own lore which not related to Konami's Silent Hill.
Check out their page on the game linked above for proper screenshots, system requirements, and of course, the download links. Time to get spooky!
Thanks to Jade Danrovich for the heads-up (and the correction!)

My Little Pony: Harmony Eclipsed
Well look at that, we're actually posting something in a timely manner!
It looks like we've got a new RPG on the scene! My Little Pony: Harmony Eclipsed is an incredibly fun Final Fantasy-esque game that puts you in the regal horseshoes of Princess Luna (and featuring our other familiar pastel horse protagonists, of course!) on a quest to rid Equestria of a ever-growing dark magic threat, taking place sometime after the end of Season 3. While there's occasional bits of placeholder dialogue or assets as the game is still unfinished, overall there's a surprising amount of game here for something only getting more widespread public attention now, and I still have a decent chunk of game left to go through after clocking roughly two hours with it!
If this sounds like something up your alley, check out the game's thread on MLP Forums linked above for more information and future updates. We've also pasted the relevant information and the download link for this release below the break if that's more your speed!

Octavia in the Underworld Cello - update
Octavia in the Underworld's Cello is a fangame that has been in the works since... 2013. The author originally expected to finish by Halloween 2013... I really hope it would be finished before G5 ends. So far, the latest demo available was released in 2014.
Today I was reminded of this game, and found that it has a recent update from the author herooftime1000...
It's a compilation of the many deaths of Octavia. Yup. This game is full of deaths... Beware.

Filly Astray - awesome platformer
Filly Astray is a new pony platformer in the making, where you take on the role of Filly Anon (a fillified version of Anonymous, the persona of a generic Internet user) and try to return home!
It's currently a demo with sewers level mostly done. The controls are quite smooth, and I really like how you can grab onto the ledge.

Plat Adventures - Progress Update
Emerald Bolt undertakes an adventure to combat hostile and
destructive creatures as well as explore the world 5 landscape to seek the
tombs of the lost 5 chalices. During the quest, you must avoid obstacles and
pitfalls, destroy the creatures and win gems for every victory. You may equally
bring with you your friend as Rose Black, the mercenary pegasus pony. With Plat
Adventures, you enjoy the fun of an epic journey and equally live out the life
of a hero - not a tragic hero. The game is available in a two-player mode and
driven by exploration and discovery.
Though still in its early stage of development, the Plat Adventures
is a resuscitated dream that had initially suffered a series of neglect. The
engine, owned by the developer, is written in C++. The developer, a hobby
programmer, seeks an artist who can animate creatures and equally draw
background and also a writer who can write side stories and scene dialogues for
the game. The hostbatch page of the project is https://platadventures.blogspot.com/
Follow the developer on YouTube, Derpibooru, Twitter, DeviantArt,
and Patreon.

Price of Fear
A masterpiece of fear with finely crafted scares!
Cybernetic and biotic technologies in the year 2257 is faced with a
serious challenge as a distress call the police department got from one of
Unitectic Corp branches, Altreyne Tech, is interrupted after losing a special
guard, and subsequently, the signal. The police head turns to Tactical
Anti-paranormal Service (T.A.S.) to help investigate the cause of the loss.
In a bid to investigate the signal loss, Captain Shailey Velasquez,
the head of Alpha team, initialized Operation Amicron which requires all teams
to enter into Altreyne Tech from different sides and meet in the center hall.
Little did he know that he's on the mission to awaken the nightmares of the past.
Upon the entrance of all teams, the AI defense system blocks all main doors as
well as disconnects the teams from the outside world, thereby making them
trapped.
Price of Fear is a single-player nightmare horror genre game with a heavy focus
on fear and horrors in the midst of an investigative mission. Players take
control of a trapped team with the dual task of investigating, with no external
support, the initial interruption in communication as well as uncover an escape
route out of the Altreyne Tech.

Let's Talk About Equestria Gaming!
I'd say "let's just skip the dumb one-liner intro and just jump straight into it" but it seems like that ship may have already sailed. Whoops!
The prerequisite dumb and unsurprisingly-unskipped one-liner intro aside: with Season 9 of our favorite colorful horse cartoon now currently underway, and Equestria Gaming itself having very celebrated its own eighth year, we figured behind the scenes that there really won't be any better of a time (like, y'know, probably ever again) than now if we wanted to get ourselves back in order and right back into the pixel pony news game for the final season.
To that end, we've put together a little something we (or at least I) like to call the State of the Horse Website Anno Domini Two Thousand and Nineteen™ (or SOTHWADTTAN™ for short, if you like!) in order to discuss a few small site-related things; namely what's changed as of late, what we'd intend to or perhaps just like to change (if anything) and, most importantly, making your voice heard on what we do! If that sounds like it's up your alley, then please check it out below the break, if you'd be so kind!

Silent Falleym 2
This latest release from The Flaundflare Studios follows closely in the footsteps of preceding games by perfectly combining adventure and survival experiences into one package. It is a sequel to the Silent Falleym and the pony adaptation of the cancelled classical Konami's Silent Hill series; however, with its own lore.
Silent Falleym 2 perfectly blends both classical Survival Horror and Fall of Anterfold survival mechanics. In the once peaceful Silent Falleym city, the Marmad Order ritual was performed to awaken the dark gods. This plunges the city into a pool of dense darkness. With no visible road, Daisy is faced with the arduous task of destroying all his servants known as The Elders to rescue her sister, Laurice who is held captive in the Guardian Argron. This is the beginning of his nightmare!
This is a single-player, alt horror video game. It will not only add some fright to your gaming experience, but also add life to it. In short, this game will prove satisfying to horror game lovers. Go check it out here!

The (Apparently) Yearly Arcade Update
Oh, uh, hey there. How's it going?
Wow, I can't believe it's only been *checks notes* seven whole months since my last post that I totally didn't disappear again after making even though I implied I wouldn't. Sorry about that!
Anyway, just like last year, there were a small slew of problems with the arcade for various reasons that have now been fixed. As a result, Hoofball, Catch the Scootaloos, Spike's Day Off, and a handful of the Pony Platforming Project games are now playable again after what is *considerably* likely to be a downright embarrassing amount of time.
That's all for now, folks! We now return to your regularly scheduled programming.
